FilmNation is looking for a producer/executive to lead the company’s growing audio content division. The candidate will oversee FilmNation’s current efforts in the podcast space and will expand the division into future opportunities.
Responsibilities include overseeing the creative development, packaging, and production process across an existing slate of premium scripted & unscripted podcasts, as well as sourcing new material, establishing strategic partnerships in the audio space, and closely collaborating with FilmNation’s other creative teams across film, TV, and theater.
This position will report to the COO.
The ideal candidate for this position is a creative, proactive, and experienced self-starter who aspires to produce a deep and diverse slate of high-end stories that align with FilmNation’s sophisticated aesthetic.
What you'll do:
Manage FilmNation’s expanding slate of audio content – oversee all elements of acquisition, creative development, production, and distribution
Shape the strategic vision for FilmNation’s future in the audio space
Identify and source new content, distribution, and production partners
Drive lean and efficient production schedules and budgets for both existing and new audio content
Liaise with internal FilmNation departments (Film / TV Production, International Sales and Distribution, Marketing & Publicity, Legal, Business Development) and external partners
Who you are:
At least 5 years of work experience in the entertainment, storytelling, and/or premium audio content space, with some podcast production specific experience required
Experienced in creative development across fiction and non-fiction stories
Detail-oriented, analytical, and results-driven
Excellent project management skills
Creative thinker who is not afraid of hard work, and working in a quickly evolving, entrepreneurial environment
Embedded in the entertainment community with relationships in the audio space
Passionate about story-telling, with personal taste that is aligned with the FilmNation brand
