'The Imitation Game' Acquired by The Weinstein Co. for $7 Million

In a record-breaking deal at the European Film Market in Berlin, The Weinstein Company has acquired the US theatrical distribution rights to THE IMITATION GAME, which stars Benedict Cumberbatch as World War II enigma codebreaker Alan Turing, widely regarded as the father of the modern computer. Morten Tyldum (HEADHUNTERS) directs from a script by Graham Moore, and Keira Knightley co-stars. The $7 million deal represents the highest price ever paid for US theatrical rights at the EFM.
