Coming off of a strong Sundance showing, Paul Dano's 'Wildlife', starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Carey Mulligan, was picked up by IFC Films today.
Following its World Premiere at the Sundance Film Festival last month, critics welcomed the actor's directorial debut, with Variety calling Dano, "a natural-born filmmaker" and other outlets saying it's a "major moment for Carey Mulligan." The film is based off of the novel of the same name by Richard Ford, and follows a boy witnessing the collapse of his parents' marriage in 1960s Montana. Paul Dano and Zoe Kazan adapted the screenplay.
IFC acquired the rights for the US and Canada with plans to release the film sometime in the fall. Read more on Deadline.
