MANAGER, ACCOUNTING & FINANCE
FilmNation is seeking a full-time Manager of Accounting and Finance who is eager to learn about business as it relates to Film and Television. The Manager will report to the CFO but will also work with the Senior Director and COO on projects as needed.
The Manager will handle a full range of responsibilities including but not limited to:
Participate in the Year-end, Quarter and Month End close process including Balance Sheet and Income Statement analysis and reconciliations
General journal entries – accruals and deferrals related to sales and expenses and corresponding revenue recognition
Working closely with the sales and marketing departments to maintain and update sales, expense and cash forecasts
Invoice film partners for marketing and publicity costs and manage the Accounts Receivable Aging for these invoices
Act as liason with Collection Account Management firms, and review CAM statements
Audit and process expense reports through our integrated third party T&E module
Work in our contract database – iRights
Handle petty cash in multiple currencies
Help oversee Staff Accountant
This is a great role for someone with three to five years experience who is ready for the next step in their career. Initially this position will be focused on the sales and distribution piece of the business, but will have the opportunity to be involved in other areas of the company quickly.
This fast paced environment requires a motivated self-starter with the ability to multi-task in a busy work environment, be extremely organized, highly detail oriented and able to work with people at all levels of the organization. To be considered for this role, candidates must have a BA/BS degree in Accounting. Experience in the film industry and with Microsoft Dynamics SL would be ideal.
