Role Description:

FilmNation Entertainment is looking for a dedicated and entrepreneurial assistant to directly support the COO & EVP of Business & Legal Affairs in our New York office to start immediately.

Responsibilities include managing schedules, keeping abreast of industry news, heavy phone work, and reading scripts for the COO & EVP of Business and Legal Affairs. Previous agency/production company desk experience is a plus, but not required.

What you'll do:

  • Scheduling, completing expense reports, managing calendar, coordinating travel, and heavy phone work
  • Reading scripts for sales, production, and finance consideration
  • Preparing legal documents and coordinating signatures
  • Coordinating payments
  • Liaising with all departments within the company on special business development projects (e.g. research, preparing informational documents)
  • Manage the FilmNation intern program (e.g. hiring 3x a year, daily management, project supervision)
  • Assorted creative tasks (e.g. reading scripts, writing coverage, and tracking projects)

The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic, detail-oriented self-starter with strong verbal/written communication skills, a clear ability to multi-task and meet deadlines, a strong knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office programs, a love of movies, and a general knowledge of the players within the industry. The position involves juggling many different responsibilities but is a great opportunity not only to learn and grow but to have your creative impact immediately felt.

This is an in office position Monday - Thursday, Fridays are remote. This position's anticipated annual base salary is $53,500. This does not include any other compensation components or benefits for which an individual may be eligible. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and from which they will be performing the job.
