‘Anora’ First Look: Sean Baker’s Rom-Com Marks His Return to Cannes

Sean Baker is making a triumphant return to Cannes with his latest romantic comedy, "Anora."

While the storyline remains shrouded in secrecy, the film promises to be an exhilarating romantic adventure, teased by a captivating first-look image featuring a vibrant, neon-lit club scene. Baker takes on the roles of both writer and director for this eagerly anticipated feature, set to make its debut at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival.

The ensemble cast boasts talents such as Mikey Madison, Mark Eydelshteyn, Yura Borisov, Karen Karagulian, and Vache Tovmasyan. Behind the lens, Drew Daniels showcases his prowess as director of photography, capturing the essence of the story on 35mm film. Filmed against the backdrop of Brooklyn, the movie is slated for release by Neon later this year.
