FilmNation Entertainment is looking for a full-time Coordinator, Television to join the US TV Team in our LA office. This role reports to the President of Television.

The Coordinator of the Television Department acts as the Assistant to the President of Television and key point person and coordinator for the Television department. This role also includes assistant duties for the SVP of Television.

Role Description:

FilmNation is looking for a dedicated and entrepreneurial coordinator to directly support the President and SVP of Television in our Los Angeles office to start immediately.

Responsibilities include managing schedules, phone work, keeping abreast of industry news, tracking projects, talent, and writer list creation, and reading scripts for creative feedback.

What you'll do:

  • Scheduling and managing of the President and SVP's calendars.
  • Answering phones & managing call sheet
  • Generating outgoing submissions and logging incoming submissions
  • Completing expense reports
  • Coordinating travel
  • Submitting invoices and coordinating development-related payments
  • Liaising with all departments within the company on special development projects (e.g.research, preparing informational documents)
  • Assorted creative tasks including:
    • Reading scripts and writing coverage for television development consideration
    • Note-taking during creative meetings.
    • Talent list creation, maintaining grids for the department.
    • Talent and project tracking
  • Contributing to shared office admin duties

This is an excellent opportunity for anyone interested in gaining knowledge about television development and production, as well as becoming an integral part of an entrepreneurial team that is focused on developing, selling and producing series (ongoing and limited) primarily for streaming and high-end cable. A significant part of the job will be based on your creative input on everything from drafts to cuts to potential projects. Ideally looking for someone who aspires to produce. There will also be opportunities to learn about the business and creative aspects of film and podcasting, including the functions of film finance, international sales/distribution, and production/development.

The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic, detail-oriented self-starter with strong verbal/written communication skills, a clear ability to multi-task and meet deadlines, a strong knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office programs, and a love of television, movies, and books. The position involves juggling many different responsibilities but is a great opportunity not only to learn and grow but to have your creative impact immediately felt.

This position's anticipated annual base salary is $55,000-$65,000. This range does not include any other compensation components or benefits for which an individual may be eligible. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and from which they will be performing the job.
