FilmNation Entertainment is seeking a full-time, entry-level Staff Accountant to join our Finance team in the New York office. We are looking for candidates with 0–2 years of experience and a background in accounting or other relevant professional experience. Responsibilities Include:

  • Full service Accounts Payable for the NY, LA, and UK offices
  • Point person for all Corporate and Sales Accounts Receivable tracking
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Audit and process expense reports according to the corporate credit card program
  • Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accounting policies and procedures
  • General journal entries
  • Year-end, Quarter and Month End closing support
  • Manage production bill backs
  • Oversee royalty statement chasing and invoicing
  • Other ad hoc projects as requested

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Must have either a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or relevant professional experience
  • Ideal for early-career candidates (0-2 years experience)
  • Detail oriented with a good work ethic
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously, work effectively in a team environment and meet deadlines

This is a great role for an up-and-coming accountant to gain experience in all aspects of the accounting and finance process in addition to dealing with all areas of the entertainment business on a daily basis.

This fast paced environment requires a motivated self-starter with the ability to multi-task in a busy work environment, be extremely organized, and highly detail oriented.

This is an in-office position Monday-Thursday, Fridays are remote. This position's anticipated annual base salary is between $57,425- $68,885, dependent on experience. This does not include any other compensation components or benefits for which an individual may be eligible. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and from which they will be performing the job.
